Revenue Maintainer I

Maintaining efficiency and economy in operations management requires flexibility in job assignments. While each employee shall have a primary responsibility for the job in which that employee has been hired or later promoted to, each employee may be expected to perform other jobs from time to time.
**SUMMARY**:
The Revenue Maintainer inspects, trouble-shoots, repairs, adjusts, overhauls, rebuilds and replaces all Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) and related equipment, systems and sub-systems through the use of applicable schematics, manuals and drawings.
**The Apprenticeship Program is divided into two segments**: Revenue Maintainer I and Revenue Maintainer II. Each segment is approximately two years in duration and consists of on-the-job training and formal classroom training. The formal classroom training is conducted on the employee's own time and may consist of attending classes at San Diego City College, as well as formal classes held on the MTS premises. MTS pays for the cost of tuition and books.
At the conclusion of the Apprentice Revenue Maintainer I Program, the State of California awards the employee a Journeyman's Certificate as Revenue Maintainer I. The employee is then enrolled in the Apprentice Revenue Maintainer II Program. At the conclusion of the Revenue Maintainer II Program, the employee is awarded a Journeyman's Certificate in that classification and is eligible for promotion to the position of Revenue Maintainer III.

Must possess a high school or high school equivalency certificate, including proof of a passing grade for one semester of algebra and a current copy of the DMV H6 driving record. Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license.
**GENERAL**:
Must satisfactorily pass all applicable examinations including, but not limited to, a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
