**Warehouse Manager**

Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Manager of Warehouse Operations. As a Warehouse Manager, you will plan, direct, and administer all warehouse operations.
- Oversee the storage, pallet operation, receiving, crossdock, shipping, and all other general operations of the warehouse while providing timely throughput of all merchandise
- Maintain proper staffing levels to achieve asset integrity on all outbound shipments
- Address all product related issues impeding operations
- Monitor safety & loss prevention practices to ensure policies adherence
- Review equipment needs to enhance productivity, while evaluating cost effectiveness
- Review changes in distribution philosophies to increase operational efficiencies and strive for continuous improvement, while planning strategically for the future of the business
- Other duties as assigned

**Work Environment**:

- Warehouse environment
- Ability to work in cold environment

**Minimum Experience and Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a distribution environment
- Proficient in fundamentals of distribution management
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong warehousing, distribution and transportation knowledge is necessary

**Preferred Experience and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years of experience in a distribution environment
