As a member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients through automation, maintenance, and development of technology. This is achieved by serving as the primary pharmacy professional responsible for the clinical and operational dimensions of technology to enhance use of medication information and safety.

Duties Include:

- Assists in upgrading, evaluation, and implementation of pharmacy computer software systems, pharmacy automation systems, and clinical software.
- Demonstrates clinical and technical ability, understanding of expectations, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Provides training and education to hospital staff on optimum use of pharmacy informatics systems.
- Applies knowledge of information systems and the medication-use process to improve patient care by ensuring that new technologies support safe and effective medication use.
- Understands aspects of pharmacy informatics systems and their impacts on other hospital systems.
- Performs functions of the Registered Pharmacist in interpreting and evaluating medication orders and prescriptions.

Education/Experience:

- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
- 5 years of Hospital or related experience
- 2 years of Pharmacy Informatics or related experience
- Epic Willow Certification/Proficiency preferred

Certification/License:

- Current Pharmacist License from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy
