**I. Purpose**

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Native and Indigenous Service Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Native Ways team. They provide oversight to the clinical team including, but not limited to, ensuring that the provision of services is documented in the electronic health record and are in compliance with the Arizona Department of Health Services. The Native and Indigenous Service Manager assists in the treatment program by providing various individual and group support to members and family members. In addition, they coordinate with other community service providers when necessary. The Native and Indigenous Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that indigenous culturally affirming evidence-based models of clinical curriculum are implemented to members as requested. The Haven endorses a trauma-informed care approach and a medical model of SUD treatment.

**II. Essential Functions**
- In coordination with the Program Managers of Residential and Outpatient, oversees Native Ways services including the clinical operations and program staff in both Residential and Outpatient.
- Develops and provides materials and presentations to educate potential members to increase the numbers of indigenous women served, including manualizing the Native Ways curriculum(s).
- Maintains contacts with professionals at agencies that provide primary care and behavioral health services to indigenous people throughout Arizona and coordinates the engagement and participation of members in culturally significant prosocial events.
- Develops memoranda of understanding with other providers and community agencies as identified.
- Develops rapport with Tribal and community agencies to encourage member referrals.
- Develops and maintains the Native Ways Alumni Program.
- Partner with external grant project partners and stakeholders and fulfill assigned required grant tracking and interval reporting processes.
- Manages resources including program scheduling, timesheets, and residential and outpatient staffing needs.
- Provides 24/7 on-call support to all Haven clinical staff per the on-call schedule.
- Ensures clinical staff completes all necessary clinical documentation in electronic medical record system for each Haven member, in a timely manner.
- Participates in the writing and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Meets with potential walk-in members to determine how to best meet the members’ needs.
- Maintains and promotes the Trauma Informed Care model in all aspects of The Haven.
- Provides and documents administrative supervision to the Native Ways team.
- Conducts routine audit checks on members’ charts, conducts monthly team meetings, and prepares monthly data reports.
- Audits staff productivity.
- Promotes The Haven services in the community, as directed by the Vice President of Clinical Services, including Tribal, state, county, and city government agencies and other healthcare facilities. Develops a rapport with community agencies to encourage member referrals.
- As needed, interacts with members individually and/or in groups to support treatment plan goals.
- Attends conferences and meetings, Board of Director meetings, Community meetings, and staff meetings, as directed by the Vice President of Clinical Services.
- Oversees interns in collaboration with the Vice Presidents of Clinical Services and Quality & Compliance.
- Assists in planning special events such as open houses and community clinical trainings.
- Performs other administrative responsibilities assigned by the Vice President of Clinical Services in their absence.

**III. Qualifications**

**Education & Qualifications**
- At least two years personal or professional experience living or working in one of Arizona’s indigenous communities.
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience implementing counseling and substance use treatment models that are culturally affirming of indigenous women.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health or related field.
- Must have extensive knowledge of counseling and substance use treatment models.
- Must have extensive knowledge of substance use disorder diagnoses and the dynamics of addictive behaviors and co-occurring disorders.
- Must be at least 21 years of age upon hire.
- A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.
- Must have an Arizona Non-IVP Level-1 Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it during employment.
- Must have current CPR and First Aide Certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Must have current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
