**Job Summary**:The Service Technician is responsible for keeping the company’s customer existing mechanical and refrigeration systems operating in an efficient manner. This work shall include the inspection, service, maintenance, start - up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification and replacement of mechanical, or service, maintenance and operations work, to meet customer obligations.

**Responsibilities**:
1. To complete necessary repairs in a professional manner to the best of your ability.

2. To be courteous, neat, clean, and in uniform as required by the weather.

3. To be responsible for company provided vehicles appearance and mechanical maintenance.

4. To keep records, properly completing service work orders.

5. To ask for help if a problem cannot be found within a reasonable length of time (usually one hour) after arrival.

6. To notify operations manager or service manager of parts needed for completion of job.

7. To report to operation manager or service manager when not available to work.

8. To be available for after-hours emergency service.

**Skill Requirements**:
1. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

2. Trade school or equivalent.

3. Previous experience troubleshooting mechanical systems.

4. Member, or acceptable member, to the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices for the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada.

5. Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

6. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

7. Ability to squat, climb, or crawl.

**Conditions**:
Office is open from7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Calls are scheduled by dispatcher during actual working hours. Work during weekends, and non-office hours, as required.

Pay: $18.00 - $43.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

- Kalamazoo, MI 49048 (required)

Work Location: In person
