- Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V for NJMS- Pharmacology, Physiology and Neuroscience. Under direction of the Principal Investigator, the RTS V performs basic laboratory management and maintenance, contributing to the daily operation of the lab, assisting in the conduct of highly specialized and technical research.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

- As directed, performs varied research operations relating to the overall investigatory activities of the laboratory.
- Assists with training students in laboratory techniques, physiological procedures and instrumentation to develop the skills necessary to perform the required functions.
- Ensures laboratory equipment is set-up, maintained and in good working order.
- Participates in lab group meetings, seminars and journal clubs.
- As directed, assists in the implementation of programs and projects in special areas of interest to the division or department, conferring with the individuals involved.
