**What You’ll Do**:
**Promote Safety.** Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards.
**Operate Heavy Equipment.** Safely and competently operate an asphalt roller and additional equipment including, but not limited to a broom, skid steer, and screws on the screed. Drive this equipment in successive passes over terrain and/or asphalt to specified grade following marking on grade stakes or hand signals. Complete labor and or flag traffic on road construction sites as needed.
**Inspect Equipment.** Perform thorough inspections and accurately complete relevant documentation.
**Maintain Equipment.** Grease, oil, and perform minor repairs on the equipment.
**Skills You’ll Need**:
**Experience. **A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred.
**Operational Knowledge. **Must be able to safely and competently operate all listed types of equipment.
**Interpersonal Skills. **Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
**Basic Math Skills.**
**Flexibility.** Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and** **tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
