**Summary of Position**:
The Upper School Admission Office at Milton Academy is seeking an Assistant Director of Admission to play a pivotal role in a fast-paced, high-volume admission process. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with the Admission team on the recruitment and assessment of Upper School applicants.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**:

- Perform a full range of recruiting and admissions selection responsibilities, including:

- Interviewing prospective students.
- Interviewing prospective parents.
- Serve on an admissions selection committee.
- Travel extensively to recruit students.
- Generally participate in the life of Milton Academy.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

**Supervision to be received**:Supervised by the Dean of Enrollment and Financial Aid.

**Supervision to be exercised**:none at this time.

**Education/Certification/Licensure**

**Required**:Bachelor’s degree.

**Experience**

**Required**:1-2 years of experience as an admissions officer in a fast-paced, selective admissions office at the secondary (boarding preferred) or college level.

**Preferred**:3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced, selective admission office at the secondary (boarding preferred) or college level

**Physical Abilities**:
**Required**:Must be able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours each day in conjunction with OSHA requirements. Must be able to lift small packages (up to 5 pounds). Must be able to move without restriction around the Milton Academy Campus, and must be able to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally.

- Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external constituencies.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with particular competencies in writing and editing.
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
