**What does the job involve?**

**Summary
- **Transports material to and from manufacturing departments at point of use locations. Receives, stores, and issues materials. Transports tools, equipment, and products within the organization.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
Unloads materials from department manufacturing areas and places in specified plant locations.
- Delivers materials to point of use locations per manufacturing flow instructions.
- Support deployment and sustainment of Kanban systems.
- Issues parts to work orders according to pick lists.
- Receives and stores parts from work orders and purchase orders to stock.
- Retrieves and transports materials for loading and unloading to trucks and/or departments as required.
- Moves parts which include performing weight counts; updating material identification tags.
- Assists in maintaining inventory control (e.g. performing cycle counts and physical inventory)
- Drives and maintains preventative maintenance on forklifts, vehicles, and industrial tuggers.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the above, Material Handlers are to maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices. **Education and/or Experience**:

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or 2- 5 years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Experience**:

- Knowledge of Inventory control, and/or experience with work orders.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflow.
- Experience driving forklifts.

**Required Skills**:

- **Language**:Must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills; must have the ability to read, comprehend, present, and write (in English) correspondence, work orders, policies, procedures, etc.; must have the ability to prepare presentations and speak/ present material to large groups of employees.
- **Mathematical Ability**:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- **Other Abilities**:Must have the ability to interact with employees of all levels and cultural backgrounds; must have the ability to handle many customers and a variety of requests; and must be able to read blueprints. Must be a detail orientated, self
- administrator able to work quickly and effectively in a fast
- paced environment.

**Tools used**:

- Hand measuring tools, calculators, personal computer, telephone, copier, and scanner.

**ITAR Compliance**:
