Job Summary

The Associate Director, Reunions, Student, and Alumni Engagement is primarily responsible for executing initiatives and programs that engage students from Chicago Booth’s Full-Time, Evening, Weekend, and Executive MBA Programs with alumni in meaningful ways with a focus on providing opportunities for informal mentoring for students and cultivation for alumni. This position will create and execute initiatives and programs to engage the MiM and MiF students and then alumni. The Associate Director will also drive the day-to-day management of recent alumni engagement by creating and implementing initiatives to connect with recent alumni leading up to their one-year reunion; leading the Recent Alumni Guide series; leading the Recent Alumni Booth Family Dinners; going on 1:1 alumni visits; and managing volunteers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develops strategic vision for and execution of new and exciting programs that service prospective students, current students, and recent alumni.
- Liaise between the Office of Advancement and student groups for programming across the four MBA populations.
- Manages alumni vetting, list generation, alumni volunteer recruitment, and agenda creation for student and recent alumni engagement programs.
- Liaise with and advises student groups who work directly with alumni on best practices connecting with alumni, specifically the Student Advisory Council and Graduate Business Council.
- Serves as one of the point people on Alumni Engagement communications, event support, payments, contracts, accounting, and ledger management.
- Tracks the budget and reconciles accounting transactions for student and recent alumni engagement programs.
- Maintains student and alumni engagement calendar and serves as lead liaison to Booth student services teams.
- Creates, designs, and executes initiatives and programs to engage the Master in Management and Master in Finance students.
- Oversees the one-year reunion, which includes recruiting committee members, volunteer management, and program execution. Additional potential to manage the five-year reunion.
- Engages in relationship and volunteer management activities, identifying interests, cultivating engagement, and connection alumni to Chicago Booth. Manage a portfolio of alumni volunteers.
- Maintains a visit goal of a minimum of 50 alumni visits per year.
- Inputs and assesses metrics and progress towards goals.
- Contributes to the general advancement of the department and alumni engagement at Chicago Booth.
- Develops, plans, implements, and maintains alumni programs and volunteer activities that connect students and alumni in any existing or new alumni communities.
- Establishes and maintains metrics of success and makes sure those are present in departmental strategic plans, goals setting, and the annual budget.
- Is part of the strategy of the Alumni Association in order to provide peerless service to alumni worldwide and develop lifelong relationships in a manner consistent with sound business practices and overarching University and development goals.
- Has a deep understanding of strategic planning, data management, the creation and tracking of metrics, and the creation and implementation of new constituent relations programs worldwide. Measures, tracks, and reports participation and success of initiatives.
