Are you a good fit? Here's what we are looking for:

- Associates degree or higher in Child Development or Education with Director Qualified Courses
- Must meet Title 5 and Title 22 Director Requirements
- Must meet Site Supervisor Permit or above qualifications
- At least 2 years of Assistant Program Director experience
- Must have at least 5 years of combined classroom and child development center experience
- Must have infant education qualifications for title 22
- hours of availability between 6AM and 6PM
- Willing to work periodic weekend hours for community outreach events, staff development
- Must be willing to step in for the Director while he/she is offsite
- Must be comfortable representing, articulating and managing Kids On The Go's mission, vision, and philosophy in a public setting (i.e media presence)
- Enthusiastic and passionate about family services, parent and child enrichment, child development, and early education.
- Ability to effectively assist in oversee programming of infant, toddler, preschool, before and after school, and enrichment classes.
- Ability to assist with the design and implementation of curriculum for infant/toddler, preschool, school age and community programming.
- Capabilities to oversee the certifications and files of all staff and children in accordance with CCLD and Title 5 mandates

- Ability to assist in overseeing program quality and implement change
- Uphold KOTG’s quality standards and guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining all necessary reports, enrollment, and statistical data as required for program and facility management.
- Cultivate positive relationships by listening and engaging with community, family, and program needs.
- Able to create a collaborative environment with staff and members of the community
- Must be committed to and supportive of the KOTG vision and mission, philosophy and serve as a role model for program development and collaborations.
- Work to insure a risk-free environment, i.e. caution regarding unsafe practices and conditions. Report accidents and injuries and complete incident reports
- Must be willing to fill in as needed including classroom, janitorial, transportation driving, cooking
- Must be able to effectively communicate KOTG mission statement and vision statement when asked
- Accountable for ensuring a transformative experience for program participants and their families through high-quality program delivery
- Assists in the processes for design, development, implementation and assessment of new programs and initiatives
- Models inclusive management behaviors and embraces all dimensions of diversity
- Assists in the responsibility of hiring, coaching, managing and developing all direct reports and promoting a work environment of learning and development
- Ability to collaborate across the organization at all levels to identify and implement childhood and family development opportunities that further the mission of KOTG.
- Ensures the highest quality of childcare and family service programs.
- Ability to engage with current and prospective parents and family members and be responsive to their needs
- Must be able to deliver tours to prospective families and community members
- Understands and complies with CCLD and all governmental regulations regarding the care of children
- Must attend, assist in the creation of agendas, and participate in all staff meetings, center events, and parent/customer meetings as needed.
- Must be able to complete reports including fiscal and program reports
- Must be able to attend conferences and workshops to increase program and professional growth.
- Must maintain mandatory certificates and trainings (CPR, mandated reporter, pesticide, director/site supervisor permit renewals etc.
- Must have a clean driving record with 5 years of driving history

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
