**THE POSITION**:
Are you interested in a rewarding career within the Department of Labor & Industry? The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is seeking a customer service driven professional to join our team as a Business Services Representative (BSR). In this position, you have the opportunity to increase employment opportunities and retention of OVR customers by promoting OVR services to businesses, stakeholders, and potential customers. As a forward-facing role, the BSR serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for local employer partners, while helping the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) connect OVR customers to available jobs. **DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:

- Promoting employment and incentive programs
- Preparing and updating informational material for outreach activities
- Providing Disability Awareness training
- Participating in job fairs
- Researching employment trends and barriers

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- ** Telework**:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the required probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Reading.
- ** Salary**:_ _**Most employees will start at the beginning level of the advertised salary.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- A bachelor's degree that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences; **or**:

- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

**Other Requirements**:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

**Legal Requirements**:

- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
