Our litigation team works on patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes throughout the country, as well as post-grant proceedings in the Patent & Trademark Office. The Litigation Paralegal works closely with the litigation team to manage all aspects of litigation, from the complaint to an appeal, and works closely with vendors to help manage document review and production. In general, duties shall include helping to file and manage all pleadings, discovery documents, and correspondence for litigation and post-grant review proceedings; maintaining the docketing database for all court and Patent Office deadlines; entering deadlines, and related data, maintaining data integrity, generating docketing reports and sending reminders for upcoming deadlines.
- ** RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review all litigation pleadings and enter them in the litigation database
- Enter and maintain the docketing database for litigation and post-grant review proceedings
- Review incoming and outgoing correspondence, and enter information in the database
- Ensure all deadlines are timely met
- Maintain electronic files in the litigation database
- Prepare documents and exhibits for hearings, depositions, and trial
- Attend hearings, depositions, and trials to assist attorneys, if necessary
- Prepare drafts of litigation documents, including pleadings and discovery requests
- Work with vendors for docketing database, discovery management, deposition scheduling, and document production
- Research and retrieve information from Pacer and litigation databases, such as Docket Navigator
- Be a resource to the litigation team, firm colleagues, vendors and clients
- Adhere to established work schedule, but be flexible enough to meet workload demands
- Handle other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Education/Experience/Skills**:

- BS/BA preferred
- Paralegal Certificate preferred
- 2 years’ experience as a litigation paralegal preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

The firm currently operates on a hybrid work schedule, with some attorneys and staff working in our Boston office and others working remotely. This position can be performed either remotely or in the office, with the understanding that working in the office may be required on some occasions to prepare for hearings, depositions, and trial.
