Come join our surgical, internal medicine, and urgent care team and get the opportunity to work alongside board-certified surgeons, internists, and highly skilled emergency doctors and as well as our incredibly talented RVTs and assistants in an established but growing surgical, internal medicine, and urgent care practice.
Must be able/willing to do night shifts, weekends, and some holidays.
Core Competencies:
- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Workload
- Multitasking
- Clean and maintain kennels, animal holding areas, examination, and operating rooms
- Clean, maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Perform routine laboratory tests or diagnostic tests, such as taking x-rays.
- Assist other technicians with basic animal restraint and surgical prep of patients.
- Actively scrub into surgeries and assist surgeons with surgical procedures. Work as a team with fellow assistants
- Ability to stand for an entire shift when needed and be able to lift pets and objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Knowledge of computers-Smartboards and Ezyvet **a plus**
This position is a part time/seasonal position.

**Requirements**:
- 2 years of Veterinary Hospital Experience
- Be able to stoop, bend, twist, reach, and safely restrain different species of animals.
- Be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 Lbs. and balance, at times, animals in excess of 50 Lbs.
- Safely lift, move, adjust, transfer, or position patients and equipment using proper body mechanics. Stand for sufficient periods of time to actively engage in clinical activities (maybe up to 10 hours a day)
