**Digestive Health Specialists (DHS) a GI Ambulatory Surgical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Medical Receptionist to join the team**

**What you will be working on**:

- Register and greet patients and answer multiple phone lines
- Routinely collect copayments and balances
- Schedule procedures
- Excellent understanding and experience with insurance carriers and referral requirements
- Prepare charts and check eligibility in advance for patient schedules
- Knowledge of billing, invoicing and medical records
- Ability to manage patient flow from check in to hand off with medical staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize
- Other administrative duties as assigned

**What you’ll know**:

- A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of EMR and medical terminology, including CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, patient registration, charge entry functions or other billing related experience is preferred
- Scheduling software experience preferred
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite of products
- Previous experience handling multiple phone lines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
- Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism
