**The Work You Will Do**:
This posting is for an Operations Analyst I position located at the Department of Environmental Protection’s Southwest District Office, in Temple Terrace.

This position is an entry level administrative position responsible for giving general information regarding services rendered by the Agency as well as locations and services offered by other agencies. Provides information and referral duties, in person and by telephone, as well as taking and routing messages for all District staff members. Actively supports and works toward fulfilling the Agency’s Affirmative Action objectives.

**Where You Will Work**:
The Southwest District Office is located in Temple Terrace, a small city just outside of Tampa. Tampa is close to the Gulf Coast with beautiful white sand beaches. It is considered a major business center while also known for its museums and cultural offerings. Places such as the Busch Gardens Theme Park, historic Ybor City with its many restaurants and nightlife, the world’s longest continuous sidewalk along Bayshore Blvd., and a sports enthusiast haven are just some of the many activities people can enjoy in the area. There is also no state income tax for residents of Florida. The Southwest District covers 8 counties (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Polk, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, and Hardee).

**Your Specific Responsibilities**:
In carrying out the duties of this position, the incumbent is expected at all times to be aware of and abide by the Department’s Standards of Conduct, as well as any and all departmental and/or work unit rules, directives, policies, procedures, and/or general orders applicable to performing the duties of this position. If the position is supervisory, incumbent is also expected to actively support and work toward fulfilling the Agency’s Affirmative Action objectives.

Prepares and processes travel authorizations and reimbursements for District Staff.

**Cash Receiving Program Support**

**Permitting & Engineering Program Support**

Maintain working knowledge and understanding of Permitting program functions, databases and processing needs. Provide other assistance including preparation and completion of final permitting-related documents for Oculus entry and mail-out; other assistance as needed. Logs and updates permit and facility data into the Department’s various databases.

**Compliance Assurance Program Support**

Assists in other duties as needed.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
