The Safety Manager will be the second safety onsite making sure the project and workers are adhering to state and federal OSHA standards.

Key

**Responsibilities**:
- Second safety onsite- Work with Project Management to keep the project safe- Attend & be involved with Stretch & Flex / Morning Meetings- Client Meetings and Reporting- Ames incident Reporting to Regional Manager- Incident case management- Site Safety Audits & Submissions- POD meeting in Safety Role- PPE supply and Ordering- Development of Field Safety personnel- Emergency Action Plan (When PSM is unavailable)- For first aid injuries, the patient can be escorted to the medic’s office for further treatment- Serious injuries may be seen on the field- Continually Promote a Friendly & Safe Working Environment While Building Relationships & Trust with Site Employees- Should be Knowledgeable of the Project Safety Manager’s Roles/Responsibilities and Prepared to Step in When the Project Safety Manager is Unavailable.- Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills- A minimum of 2 years experience in construction or renewable energy as a Safety Manager or Craft Safety.- An Associate’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or BCSP credentials STSC, CHST, or equivalent experience.- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word Applications, Outlook, and Excel spreadsheets.- Must have the ability to teach and conduct trainings- Strong communication skills both written and oral- Must be highly organized and able to handle administrative role- Possess high attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies- Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills- Time Management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial- Must have a valid Driver’s License- Working Conditions- Up to 100% travel is required as projects will be nationally based.- Construction Site Environment - the physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.- Mine Safety and Health Administration Certification and Blue Card Holders preferred- Office Environment - extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping, and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
