Scottsdale, United States Rummel Construction Full time

**CAD Technician**

**Who Are We?**

Since 1996 Rummel Construction, Inc. has been building the foundations of the Southwest US as one of the premier Heavy Civil General Contractors in Arizona. We're most well-known for our work in mass excavation, but we do it all. From moving millions of CY in residential and commercial developments to providing support to the largest mines in Arizona to building wind and solar farms, if there's big dirt involved, there's a good chance we'll be there. We don't just manage the work of others, we do it ourselves. In fact, most of our work is self-performed, with equipment that we own and maintain in house.

**What will you be doing?**

As a CAD Technician you'll be heavily involved in the work that goes into building a competitive estimate. You'll perform both manual and electronic takeoffs on civil and grading plans to ensure that material quantities are accurately accounted for in the estimating process. Completing accurate takeoffs means that you'll need to be able to perform mathematical calculations, be able to analyze construction documents, work well with others and by yourself and be very organized.

You should be detail-oriented and enjoy putting numbers to plans. You'll be working with computers every day, so strong computer skills are essential as well.

**Skills Required**:

- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- The ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Strong attention to detail
- Aptitude in learning and working with various computer programs

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficient in AutoCAD software
- Experience performing heavy civil takeoffs
- Proficient in Agtek CAD software
- Proficient in Trimble Business Center software
- Microsoft Office

**What do we offer?**

We offer an excellent work environment including a competitive salary, subsidized health insurance, ESOP program, 401k plan, and voluntary dental and supplemental benefits.
