Grant Coordinator

**Grant Coordinator Role and Responsibilities**

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Monitoring and maintaining district grants to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
- Maintaining budgets, allocating costs, and establishing year-end procedures.
- Preparing and reconciling grants reports for Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) and Annual Financial Report (AFR).
- Ensuring that assigned grants/funds do not exceed allotted budgets and matching revenues.
- Responding to and processing requests for information from Superintendents, Directors, and Principals.

**Essential Functions**
- Serving as the primary liaison/resource between the district and funding agencies for all fiscal grant issues, including independent decision-making responsibilities.
- Reviewing internal controls for revenues, expenditures, and journal entries of grants and other funds/programs.
- Training district staff concerning grants and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Developing and coordinating with Superintendents, Directors, and Principals and Accounting Department in preparing and projecting grant budgets.
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets to report and project expenditures and to forecast ending balances monthly.
- Attending technical assistance conferences and meetings at the state and federal levels.

- Analyzing situations and making decisions to meet deadlines.
- Working independently and demonstrating flexibility.
- Strong skills in researching, analyzing, and evaluating complex financial data.
- Clear and concise communication both orally and in writing.
- Other duties as assigned
- Reporting for Trine, DOE, and others assigned but CFO

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of general accounting experience or equivalent grant management experience.
