**IR Tech Per Diem Days Position Summary**
Works with the Radiologists and other personnel to provide diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Special Procedures and other areas within Diagnostic Imaging.
**SPECIAL SKILLS**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
**SUPERVISES**: Functional supervision may be exercised over cross-training Radiologic Technologists and/or students.
**THE IR TECH PER DIEM DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.**
**MINIMUM EDUCATION**:Completion of JRCERT approval formal program in Radiologic Technology.
**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**:One year Radiology experience (unless approved by hiring facility leadership team at point of hire).
**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:Three years special procedures.
**REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE**:Current Certified Radiology Tech (CRT), American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and CPR required.
**PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION**: Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI), ACLS
