Type: Full-Time with Benefits

Location: Santa Monica

RehabAbilities, "the professional's choice" for career development, has a great opportunity for **TWO** Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) to work at a SNF in Santa Monica. Must have a minimum of 3-6 months SNF experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Records treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart including physician progress reports, rehab summaries and discharge summaries;
- Administers therapeutic exercises and modality treatments;
- Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve mobility and functional activities such as pre-ambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities with or without use of assistive and supportive devices;
- Assists patient with adjusting to disability/dysfunction to prevent further injury;

**Education**:

- Graduation from an accredited educational program.

Qualifications:

- Current and unencumbered California license;
- Current AHA-approved CPR card;

**Skills**:

- Skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, logic and reasoning, judgment, time management techniques and data entry;
- Ability to make improvements or take corrective action;
- Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources;
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work;
- Communicate with people outside the organization;
- Represent the organization to patients, clients and the public;
- Deal calmly and effectively in high stress situations;
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time;
- Work within a team as well as independently;
- Speak, read, and write effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience while demonstrating the proper use of grammar.
