As the Chat Associate Producer for TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, you will work directly with producers and senior producers to help pitch, write, and produce news and entertainment content for broadcast, with a focus on the daily chat segments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Curate and pitch pop culture, topical, and other stories for daily coverage in chat segment
- Gather visual elements, prep graphics, and assist with editing for chat and other segment production
- Assist with full scope of production including research, booking, and pre-interviewing
- Coordinate with the TODAY design team, control room, legal & standards, rights & clearances and outside resources selected by producers
- Write and produce segments (both live and tape)

**Qualifications**
- Must have at least 3 years’ of editorial experience working in production at the network level, preferably with morning television
- Must have a deep knowledge of pop culture
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must have strong social media knowledge
- Proficient in Outlook and iNews
- Willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
- Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed.
- Willing to work in New York, NY
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

**Desired Characteristics**
- DV shooting experience
- Knowledge of non-linear editing systems including Avid
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
- Strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- ** Hybrid**: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
