**Position Overview**
The Membership & Communications Coordinator is detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Coordinator will be instrumental in developing and executing engaging communications initiatives, capturing events through photography and video, and crafting effective content across various platforms. From Lake Shore’s Member app and website to event materials and social media channels, this role will focus on creating impactful experiences for Club Members and staff.

In addition to helping drive communication efforts, the Coordinator manages the Membership database, ensures accurate and up-to-date information, creates interest groups, and more. The Coordinator also provides valuable Member Services Desk support and essential technical support to Members as needed.

This role is more than just managing data and communications—it's about cultivating connections and delivering exceptional experiences for Club Members and staff.

**Communications Responsibilities**
- Assist in maintaining and continually improving the Club’s website and mobile app
- Help oversee communication channels to ensure Members are informed about Club events, activities, and updates
- Attend major Member events to take videos and photos, engage and develop a rapport with Members, and act as an ambassador of the Communications Team
- Create flyers, digital signs, social media, and more to promote awareness of Club events and drive Member attendance and engagement
- Assist Members in using the website and mobile app, updating their passwords, and providing additional tech support as needed
- Analyze Membership needs on the website and app to ensure the structure and features help Members use the website effectively; trouble-shoot areas that would benefit from video how-tos and other teaching tools
- Internalize and own the Club’s brand, style, tone, and voice for Club communications from all departments to the membership
- Track social media and website analytics; create weekly and monthly reports to gauge areas of Member engagement and response
- Assists with gathering information for and coordinating the distribution of Lake Shore’s Member newsletter, The Breeze
- Other appropriate tasks as assigned

**Membership Responsibilities**
- Maintain accurate files and records of Member related paperwork and correspondence
- Create and send monthly birthday letters to Legacy Members, keeping them informed of Membership changes and options
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from Members regarding Legacy Membership; maintain Membership related mini sites on the Club website and app
- Obtain photos of new members for the website and club administration.
- Prepare introduction of new Members to staff in the form of staff memos
- Assist the Director of Communications in preparing welcome eblasts/posts for new members and programs encouraging easy membership engagement, such as finding a golf, tennis, or pickle game.

**General Responsibilities**
- Help foster a culture of continuous improvement and exploration of new ideas
- Maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of Club by-laws, rules, policies, hours of operation, and so on
- Represent self and Club professionally both on and off-site
- Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed
- Cover the Member Services Desk as needed
- All other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a design-related field is preferred
- Two years of related job experience preferred (internships count)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, MailChimp, Canva, Instagram, Vimeo, and video editing software
- Ability to balance multiple projects and have strong project and time management skills with high attention to detail
- Display an aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take direction, and exercise good judgment
- Must have a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
- Schedule flexibility during the busy season (summer), which may include being available nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience.
