Direct Care Staff for Children

You will be:

- Responsible for overseeing the physical care of residents.
- Aid residents in developing habits, attitudes, and management of resident behavior.
- Help to meet the goals and objectives of any required individualized service plan.
- Have practical communication skills to report on the individual needs of residents, performance, and stages of development.
- Ensure that children are safe and assist with their needs.
- Consistently supervises residents within established program guidelines, expectations, and daily activities.
- Complete daily documentation on time and follow established guidelines and mandates.
- Prepares meals following the established menu in a way that engages residents in eating healthy.
- Responsible for taking residents to school, appointments, and community activities, when needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. and have six months of experience working with children.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent knowledge of child development.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physically capable, energetic, and able to climb stairs.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Sensitive and caring nature.

**Knowledge of**:

- Department of Behavioral Health and Medicaid Standards
- Human Development
- Human Rights Regulations

**Training/Certifications**
- **Current CPR/First Aid (Child/Adult) Required**:

- **Medication Administration Training (32-hour Certification) Required**:

- TOVA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
