**Job Description Summary**:
**What You'll do**

The Additive Technician - Machining and Printing will be a hands-on role and requires willingness to both learn and work on a wide variety of leading-edge manufacturing processes and components. In addition, you will:

- Be responsible for the equipment setup, programming, and operation of a wide variety of machining, processing and metal 3D printing pieces of equipment including Solukon Powder removal, saws, wire EDMs, mills and laser powder bed printers.
- Own the execution of metal additive builds and parts with strong communication to other technicians, contractors and engineers on status, priority, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Be responsible for 5S of the lean cell including safety, daily cleaning, calibration, operator preventative maintenance (OPM) and troubleshooting and resolution of the lean cell and/or printing equipment issues.
- Be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing improvements into the Additive process and parts including documenting technical data, including process parameters, procedures, work instructions and tooling designs consistent with engineering policies and procedures as well as measure and record quality data.
- Understand, interpret, and create technical information (i.e. 3-D Models, Engineering drawings, machine manuals, and standard operating procedures)
- Be counted on to participate in Lean Kaizen Events providing input and moonshining improvements to tooling, fixturing and other areas of additive print and post print process.
- Guide other team members through safety, equipment setup and operation and lead with technical communications from the area as required.

**What You'll bring**
- Basic Qualifications/Requirements:_
- High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of machining experience or instruction
- Capable standing/sitting/walking 8-10 hours per day in a manufacturing environment and comfortably lifting ~30-pound tools, fixtures, & components.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder permitted to work on US export-controlled technology

**What will make You stand out**
- Associates Degree or certificate in machine tool technology or a related discipline from an accredited technical school or college.
- CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining or tool and die experience with Fanuc, Okuma, Haas, Siemens, Heidenhain including machine setup, fixture indication, work clamping, datums, tool setup, operation, clean up, and maintenance.
- CAD/CAM Skills, NX/Unigraphics 6+ Preferred including tool and fixture 3D design.
- Ability to interrogate 3D models, read engineering drawings and specifications, and perform basic quality inspections with GD&T experience.
- EDM (Electronic Discharge Machining) experience, milling experience, operation of manual drills, grinders, lathes, mills.
- 3D printing layout, operation, troubleshooting expertise.
- Strong manufacturing process knowledge including lean experience.
- Strong project management skills including strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong passion to learn, ability to communicate, interact and work with others effectively with a ‘one-team’ mindset.
