- Role Summary**This is an on-site position based at our location in Portage, MI.**
The **Manager Program Management** is responsible for overall management of the program management team, execution of customer development projects and overseeing all commercial and program related tasks within the team’s projects. He/she leads the team in building the design and implementation of business strategies, maintains profitable business relationships and leads the defined key customer and assigned projects.- Main Tasks- Provide leadership and support to the Program Management team and support to the customers in regard to all technical issues and ensure high quality customer service (follow-up of orders, customer visits, cost/revenue analysis in cooperation with the project controlling, prepare and conducting of customer presentations
- Serve as a liaison between MANN+HUMMEL and the Program Managers, customers and the MANN+HUMMEL departments on assigned programs
- Work with project managers to prepare and conduct the price negotiations for the assigned projects in cooperation with sales
- Support the customer projects from a technical as well as commercial perspective from the initial phase until delivery
in regard to budget, deadlines etc.
- Plan and coordinate all project related activities in accordance with the MANN+HUMMEL development process xSEP considering the
relevant quality specifications
- Lead in defining project organizations and delegate leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams
- Conduct/Review feasibility studies together with the project teams
- Analyze project risks with regard to profitability, timing, technical and environmental requirements
- Lead in planning project resources and budget and ensure compliance with project budget and time plan
- Define the Quality Gates and detail time planning
- Arrange kick-off meetings, regular team meetings and individual communication
- Provide escalation and necessary decisions in steering committees
- Report the Quality Gates in local steering committee according to plans
- Review and assist Project Manager (if needed) in presenting projects to customers
- Serve as a main point of contact within M+H in regard to customer projects
- Review the project status regularly with assigned project manager, determine deviations according to the quality gates and define
corrective actions
- Continuously coordinate and follow up the open tasks with the project management team
- Your Profile**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
**Experience**:
- 3+ years of relevant project management experience within the manufacture of transportation products
**Required Skills**:
- Some technical knowledge of M+H products as well as customer business
- Customer orientation, organization and coordination skills, self-initiative and ability to lead a team under pressure to
meet deadlines
- Conflict management, communication skills, Relevant IT tools (MS Office, SAP, etc.)
- Up to 20% travel (Domestic/International)
**Preferred Education and Skills**:
- MBA
- Filtration experience
- Automotive industry experience
