To ensure the security of Newegg's purchases for the public and minimize the financial risk to the company due to fraud.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all underwriting processes and policies of the role.
- Understand, read, and interpret customer identification reports to ensure proper Know Your Customer, Know Your Business is met.
- Understand, read, and interpret Sanctions Reports from OFAC and other similar documentation.
- Uses independent judgment to approve, pend, credit hold, or decline, etc.) on Marketplace Seller and B2BNet Applications. Identify, document, and escalate to management issues that are over an Underwriter approval authority as defined by policy.
- Communicate decisions effectively in both verbal and written communication.
- Understand the company underwriting policies and underwriting guidelines.
- Understand the risks associated with the payment processing industry (Fraud, Credit, Regulatory, Legal, etc.)
- High School or GED required.
- Combined 2 years of experience in e-Commerce, experience with Fraud Detection Methods and Analysis, and/or experience using Internet and searches.
- Strong PC knowledge, including MS office, Word, and Excel.
- Requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential and insider information with regularity.
- Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment and to prioritize goals.
- Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with clients; able to clearly articulate the company's value proposition in oral and written communications.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Demonstrate competency in reading credit reports.
- Strong understanding and ability to read financial statements, tax returns and other similar documents.
- Strong knowledge of credit policies, procedures, principles and philosophy.
- Previous knowledge of payment processing industry preferred.
- Strong Internal/External customer service skills.
- Proven ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Must have integrity and consistently exhibit strong work ethics.

Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant working on a computer.

Work Environment : Office cubicle environment with mínimal exposure to the environment or health hazards.
Equipment Used : Standard office and computer equipment including MSOffice software.
Language Skills : Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
