General Description**:Forklift Operator, keeps records of warehouse activities. Reports to warehouse supervisor.**
- Responsible for the operation of forklifts, establishing priorities and sequences for warehouse and manufacturing requirements.
- Ensures compliance with shipping and receiving, procedures/practices as well as inspecting all areas within the warehouse for any operational and/or mechanical issues, as well as taking corrective action and notifying supervision and/or management.
- Assists supervision in standardizing procedures/practices to improve warehouse efficiency and/or product quality.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices
- Expected to work in other areas as needed
- Work safely, follow proper Lock-out/Tag-out procedure where applicable
- Be proactive in preparing for all daily assignments
- Review inbound/outbound orders and schedules.
- Inspect all trailers to ensure they are clean and free of contamination.
- Inspect warehouse area for good housekeeping
- Ensure to follow proper loading and unloading procedures.
- Complete all warehouse documents to ensure all lot numbers have been picked properly.
- Fill out daily forklift inspection records
- Expected to work in other areas as needed.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of all documents in the warehouse
- Maintain area of responsibility clean and organized
- Must comply with all personnel safety policies and procedures at all time
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the task at hand (i.e. earplugs, safety glasses)
- Ability to work in a hot, cold, wet, frozen, dusty, and loud environment
- Frequently works near moving warehouse equipment
- Required to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep all equipment in sanitary condition
- Follows all work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to work different shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
