**Position Overview**:The Lawn and Landscape Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of skilled workers engaged in various tasks related to the maintenance and care of lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces. The team leader is responsible for ensuring that the team performs their duties efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards and client expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership**:Lead and supervise a team of landscape maintenance workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work.
Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and strengths, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Motivate the team to maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and a sense of pride in their work.

**Task Coordination**:Plan and coordinate daily and weekly work schedules, taking into account seasonal variations and specific client requirements.
Delegate tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and pest control to team members based on the scope of work.
Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and within the scheduled timeframes.

**Quality Control**:Ensure all maintenance activities are performed to high standards, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Conduct regular inspections of completed work to verify quality, addressing any issues promptly.
Provide feedback and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

**Client Communication**:Interact with clients on-site when necessary, addressing any concerns, discussing project details, and providing updates on ongoing maintenance activities.
Maintain professional and courteous communication to build and maintain positive client relationships.

**Equipment and Supplies**:Ensure that all equipment, tools, and supplies are properly maintained, serviced, and in good working condition.
Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.

**Safety and Compliance**:Enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure the well-being of the team members, clients, and the public.
Stay updated on industry regulations and environmental guidelines, ensuring compliance in all maintenance activities.

**Record Keeping**:Maintain accurate records of work performed, hours worked by team members, and materials used.
Assist with documentation required for billing, invoicing, and reporting purposes.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in landscaping or horticulture are a plus.
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, with a track record of leadership and team coordination.
- Strong knowledge of plants, lawns, and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and pruning tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions and team management.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week
