**Hometown Poke & Bubble Tea is seeking an experienced and multi-faceted individual to join their team as a Store Manager. We are headquartered in Providence, RI, and have a secondary location under construction in East Greenwich, RI.**

**Compensation**:$40K-$50K, depending on experience with room to grow

Hometown Poké & Bubble Tea is a vibrant sit-down cafe focusing on serving delicious poke bowls. When you eat a Hometown Poké bowl, you’re eating real food in its true, organic form. **Assistant Manager**

**Full-time (40 to 50 hrs/wk)**

We are seeking a personable and passionate leader with high standards and a love of teaching to manage our Providence store location. We are a tight-knit family that is passionate about community, camaraderie, serving quality food, and providing excellent customer service. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
**Staff Training and Supervision**:

- Assist in weekly staff scheduling, and time off requests; ensuring both store and food trucks are staffed with both seasoned and seasonal employees.
- Nurture, motivate, and provide constructive feedback.
- Train kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, and safety procedures, and maintain consistency across locations and food truck events.
- Provide guidance on proper handling and dating of food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

**Customer Care & Cash Management**:

- Ensure all guests have a positive and fulfilling experience at Hometown.
- Check weekly deposits.
- Maintaining change in drawer; review and enforce opening and closing drawer procedures.

**Menu Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels to ensure menu items are available and adjust offerings as necessary.
- Update online menus regularly to reflect current offerings and pricing.

**Cleaning and Organization**:

- Lead deep cleaning initiatives to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Restock and organize kitchen supplies and equipment as needed for efficient operation.
- Ensure the dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms are clean at all times.

**Preparation & Ordering**:

- Manage online orders and third-party deliveries.
- Manage daily prep lists to ensure efficient food preparation and minimize waste.
- Assign prep duties to staff according to daily needs
- Manage inventory levels, ordering ingredients and supplies as needed to prevent stockouts.
- Oversee inventory tracking procedures and ensure inventory counts are completed on Sundays.

**Food Preparation & Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure food safety and adherence to recipe standards.
- Overseeing proper product preparation, rotation (FIFO), portioning, cooking and holding times, and refrigeration logs.
- Ensuring that health and safety standards are followed at all times.
- Coordinate bread orders, soap supplies, and other essential items to support kitchen operations.

**Additionally**:

- A passion for social media and marketing is a plus; looking to the Assistant Manager to be the point person to oversee products and supplies needed for upcoming photoshoots coordinated by the social media team.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Previous restaurant management or supervisory role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and experience with ordering and stock control.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and consistency in food preparation.
