We are seeking a full-time **Assistant** **Clinical Manager **to join us at The Bradley Hospital in East Providence, RI. In this position, you will assist in the implementation of the Adolescent Nursing and Patient Care Services Program, supervise department nursing staff schedules, including relief coverage and perform the roles and duties of a clinical nurse by caring for children and adolescents. This position requires 40 hours per week with either 4 ten hour shifts (1:00 pm - 11:30 pm), or 5 evening shifts (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm). No weekends or holidays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care to patients and families as well as administrative support and leadership to the combined staff/patient program in adherence with the ANA code of professional nursing
- Intervene and manage complex nursing care problems while utilizing the least restrictive, safest alternatives
- Communicate and document significant clinical/administrative findings to the Nurse Manager in a timely manner
- Support online staff to ensure patient advocacy, resolve conflicts and maintain safe, dignified patient care settings
- Participate and provide managerial direction in program-based treatment planning and discussion as well as administrative forums
- Consult the Program Nurse Manager in hiring and evaluating online clinical staff
- Function as Program Charge RN when scheduled and act as Nurse Manager representative as needed
- Act as the staff resource for psychopharmacology seclusion/restraint, activation of the Emergency Response System and the Bradley Nursing and Milieu Services Management Team Guiding Principles

**Qualifications**:

- Current, active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island**; **BSN preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience in acute psychiatric nursing with one year associated with child psychiatric subspecialty
- Acquire and maintain required hospital and program certifications including BLS, CPR, Crisis Management and ERS
- Attend at least 6 program meetings and at least 3 in-services annually
