**Duties**:
**As a Budget Analyst, you will**:

- Make significant contributions to long-range program budgetary strategic planning and performance metrics efforts to forecast and effectively plan for and implement complex budgetary activities.
- Manage the comprehensive development and timely issuance of policies, standards, resource budgetary guidance materials (e.g., program budget guidance, budget instructions and other guidelines) for use by other budget analysts or financial personnel within the assigned organization.
- Present program budget briefings to senior officials.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of a variety of complex budgetary and financial reports for the assigned area.
- Provide oversight of DOE budgeting activities to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of approved funding to prevent over or under spending of approved funding.

- This position does not support 100% remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 2 days per pay period.
- This position is included in a Bargaining Agreement.

**Qualifications**:

- Provide advice and guidance to program managers/officials on all aspects of budget areas to ensure consistency between programs.
- Research budget issues resulting from analysis of program requirements to recommend resolutions.
- Monitor the execution of the approved budget to ensure all obligations, expenditures, and disbursements meet requirements and sufficient funds are available.
