**Job Purpose**

Our Activities Coordinator/Life Enrichment Class Instructor is a key member of our day services and outreach team. They bring creative and educational opportunities to our individuals, as well as privately registered community members. In this role, they will have meaningful daily interactions with our participants and strive to build and model healthy relationships. Our monthly curriculum is built to encourage personally fulfilling hobbies, socialization, expanding one’s knowledge of the world around us, and to teach and promote independent living skills. Our instructor builds these curriculums by utilizing our previous feedback, team and participant suggestions, tried and true topics, and of course their personal creativity

In this role, the instructor will be expected to perform the administrative tasks including but not limited to calendar and lesson plan creation, payment invoices and receipts, expense tracking, attendance, and the organization and upkeep of HIPAA protected participant forms.

Our instructor works with our Outreach Team to build community partnerships with organizations that can offer exciting opportunities for our participants. In these weekly meetings they’ll also contribute to our company newsletters and social media presence. This team also works together to brainstorm and arrange company events and promote our company’s visibility in the community.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Implement lesson plans that can be adaptable, as needed, to engage individuals of all abilities and various learning levels
- Create monthly calendars built to keep our participants and community aware of class plans, i.e., times, topics, and locations.
- Provided needed assistance to both class participants and direct support professionals (DSPs) toward implementation of activities to allow for a consistent team approach and inclusive environment.
- Coordinate and host events including birthday socials and holiday parties. Decorate classroom according to current holiday or event.
- Approach each individual in a manner that allows each to maintain self-respect and dignity.
- Maintain an adequate supply of materials for planned activities, keeping within budgetary guidelines and accurately reporting expenses.
- Ensure materials are readily available prior to the beginning of each activity and are returned to appropriate storage once completed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment.
- Other duties as requested.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Valid NH Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation (able to travel within the community during business hours)
- Ability to Pass a National and State Background Checks as well as the Bureau of Elderly & Adult Services, NH DMV, Division for Children, Youth and Families Central Registry, and required TB testing.
- **Minimum of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 Liability Insurance on Automobile**:

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
