**Position: HR Generalist Payroll**

**PURPOSE**:

- As an HR Generalist with a specialization in payroll, your role will be integral to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. Your primary purpose will encompass a range of HR and payroll-related responsibilities. This is a collaborative role that will work cross-functionally with various departments. ***DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**:
***_Some key areas of responsibility include, but are most certainly not limited to:_
- _Manage the HRIS System Managing and documenting all personnel changes in system._
- _Assisting employees with HRIS (login, password reset, training)._
- _Set up new positions, earning codes, and deductions._
- _Manage benefit profiles within HRIS (UKG)_
- _Run ad hoc reports._
- _Maintains and updates employment records in the HRIS regarding salary changes, promotions, terminations, and all other applicable changes internally._
- _Ad-hoc payroll audits (PTO/ Sick/ Uncompensated, Compensated leave, etc.)_

- _Coordinate with benefit providers/brokers to ensure smooth and efficient administration and enrollment._
- _Researches, resolve, and respond to employee benefit inquiries and issues, leave administration, HRIS questions, and employment verifications. _
- _Facilitate full cycle Open Enrollment process including plan renewals, design and delivery of communication materials and strategy_
- _Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, FMLA and Workers’ Comp, Paid Family Leave_
- _Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave, accommodation law, and state and local laws. _
- _Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules._
- _Ensures compliance with annual reporting requirements like EEO-1 reporting, OSHA, etc._
- _Manage Form 5500 filings and all related benefit plan audits_
- _Unemployment claims_

**PAYROLL**:

- _Process (non-exempt and exempt) payroll for employees accurately and on time._
- _Ensure compliance with federal, multi-state (CA, FL, NY, DC & MA), and local payroll regulations._
- _Stays abreast with laws regarding changes in pay, taxes, etc._
- _Calculate and process payroll deductions, such as taxes, benefits, and garnishment._
- _Responsible for year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing._
- _Generate reports and analyze data to inform data-driven decisions._
- _Compliant with OT, Tip Credit & Spread of Hours calculations. _

**HR GENERALIST RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- _Responds to initial employee relations and performance management matters from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff._
- _Assists with job posting and advertisement processes._
- _Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff._
- _Suggest and implement changes to company policies in keeping with our people-first mentality._
- _Collaborate with HR team to refine operations processes. _
- _Successfully collaborate to build and maintain relationships with various departments and team members._
- _Collaborate and complete HR projects as needed._
- _Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential._
- _Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance._
- _Record Keeping audits and filing._

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- _Driven, self-starter with 4+ years of direct HR experience in a fast-paced environment._
- _Experience weekly and bi-weekly payroll. _
- _Experience in implementing, managing, and working within HRIS platform._
- _Experience administering benefits._
