**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate month, quarter, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting efforts.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries as needed.
- Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Collaborate on cost/inventory accounting functions as needed.
- Support financial planning process through strategic plan, financial plan, and quarterly forecast processes.
- Deliver presentations that tell the story; summarize key insights for leaders.
- Evaluate financial results to analyze the financial impact of operating results, highlighting risks and opportunities as well as providing strategic and tactical recommendations to leaders.
- Oversee insurance and risk management.
- Hire, train, and retain finance staff.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Director of Finance.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Proficient in MS Office and financial management software.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- BSc/BA in accounting, finance.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prepare documentation required for financial assistance awards (grants and cooperative agreements).
- Interacting with high-level contacts such as Program Directors concerning grant and cooperative agreements.
- Experience working with BPO for finance and accounting support
- CPA or MBA

**$150,000/year to $170,000/year + equity + benefits**
- $150,000—$170,000 USD
