**Summary/Objective**

Under the direction of the Sr. Program and Contracts Manager, the Education and Training Coordinator is responsible for conducting functions and activities for FsACE training and educational programs. Other duties in this position will include conducting outreach initiatives throughout suburban Cook County; and identify families and individuals within the service delivery area who need training and educational programs, case management and other services that will help them reach self-sufficiency. Education and Training Coordinator will also coordinate the development of external resources to meet customer needs; and conduct review and progress analysis of students enrolled in training and educational programs. This position routinely handles highly sensitive and/or confidential information and will represent CEDA in a variety of capacities. Must demonstrate good judgment, an ability to be approachable and professional, solid problem-solving skills, an ability to handle multiple tasks, an ability to be self-motivated and well organized, and maintain strict confidentiality.

**Essential Functions**
- Plans, executes, and oversees the implementation of FsACE scholarship and vocational training programs to ensure the attainment work program objectives and desired outcomes.
- Responsible for outreach efforts across suburban Cook County to recruit and enroll families and individuals in FsACE service programs.
- Conducts intake and case management procedures for families and individuals, maintains comprehensive case files, and utilizes appropriate tracking methods for reporting activities, including case notes, direct client assistance tracking logs, and ledgers.
- Implements follow-up activities with customers within 30 days, 90 days, and 1 year after program completion to assess their employment, career status, and achievement of outcome objectives.
- Delivers presentations, workshops, onsite intakes, and eligibility screenings throughout suburban Cook County for training, education programs, and related topics.
- Ensures accurate data entry into agency database systems.
- Establishes and maintains audit-ready case files.
- Identifies internal and external linkages for referrals and additional resources for customers.
- Collaborates with the finance department at vocational schools and educational facilities to determine the appropriate financial assistance level for program participants and conducts reconciliation activities for program close out.
- Assists in conducting community needs assessments and client satisfaction surveys for program planning.
- Generates weekly service reports and other reports that correspond to job responsibilities.
- Participates in regular staffing meetings and trainings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Basic knowledge of student financial aid resources
- Ability to work effectively with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment and represent CEDA professional manner.
- Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook; Zoom; Constituent Relationship Management databases.

**Supervisory Responsibility**

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

**Work Environment/Travel**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works mostly in an office environment that is quiet to moderately loud, depending on the work area. Employee is required to sit, use hands, stand, stoop, walk, talk, and listen while performing duties. General office equipment including personal computers, scanners, copiers, faxes, desk
- and smartphones, and software programs. Extensive travel of distance required, especially suburban Cook County. Must have access to reliable transportation to provide coverage and attend trainings and meetings. If using a personal vehicle, must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance that meets State requirements.
