The Assistant General Manager (AGM) oversees the daily retail operations of the dispensary, specifically focused on customer service, employee engagement and driving profitability by collaborating with the General Manager (GM) and other store leaders. The AGM takes part in developing a professional team that is passionate about Cannabis and the ANJA brand. The AGM also works with the GM to ensure the facility's sound recordkeeping and compliance with local and state regulations. Priorities include the implementation of dispensary policies and assistance with the hiring, development and supervision of dispensary staff.

**Job Functions**
- Ensure the dispensary's compliance with local and state regulations
- Maintain company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: opening and closing the store, cash handling, loss prevention, and safety protocols
- Ensure that all customer inquiries and complaints are handled in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate with and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary's excellence in customer service and labor practices within the community
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports relating to dispensary performance: identify and document trends and opportunities for growth
- Identify, address and document employee issues on a timely basis in collaboration with the General Manager
- Execute Product Knowledge Training to ensure the dispensary staff is well-educated on cannabis, along with all products offered
- Ensure there is enough of each cash denomination in the vault to replenish all tills through placing change orders
- Ensure the dispensary remains hygienic and has an adequate stock of office and cleaning supplies to meet the needs of the business by placing supply orders

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related experience
- Four years of experience in a high volume retail management environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience supervising training, quality, and customer service in retail
- Prior experience within a Cannabis dispensary strongly preferred
- Excellent customer communication and service skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Passionate about serving the NJ Cannabis community
- Strong accounting, math and computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work proficiently within Google Suite / Microsoft Office
- Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the NJ CRC
- Able to pass all background checks as mandated by the NJ CRC.

This job operates in a professional retail store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. This position requires weekends, nights, overtime as needed, holidays, and flexible work availability. Some travel may be required.

**Physical requirements**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen. This employee is frequently required to stand or sit for long periods, walk constantly, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to assist with lifting and/or moving product up to 50 pounds. May be required to work outdoors and/or during inclement weather.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
