Brooklyn, United States Orthopedic Associates of New York City Full time

Third party collections and denial management firm, currently expanding our client portfolio, seeking a full-time Medical Collections Specialist to oversee and work a large in inventory of accounts for pain management services and insurance claims.
Firm currently has a several pain management clients performing hospital and office procedures based in Queens, Manhattan and Long Island medical centers, with a vast range of procedures.
- **Requirements**_
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years in experience in insurance follow.
- Working experience handling, managing and collecting a medical A/R.
- Experience and knowledge of appropriate billing and coding guidelines.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience handling insurance denials and appeals.
- Ability to effectively multitask and work multiple accounts.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in collection from a wide variety of payers.
- Pain management or related specialist billing and collection experience preferred.
- Familiar with reimbursement and appeal requirements for commercial insurance, No Fault, Workers' Compensation.
- Ability to make multiple phone calls throughout the day to insurance companies to collect on balances.
- Experience with Excel and Power Point.
- Ability to effective communicate and meet with client on a monthly basis and guarantee revenue.
- _**Department Hours of Operations: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.**_

Pay: From $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
