Assistant Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the store. The Assistant Manager will assist in managing staff, overseeing daily operations, and providing excellent customer service.
**Duties**:
- Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and train store employees, ensuring they provide exceptional customer service
- Assist in creating and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed store goals
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering merchandise as needed
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist in visual merchandising and maintaining store cleanliness
- Perform cash handling duties, including opening and closing registers, preparing deposits, and reconciling cash drawers
- Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new employees
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred
- Strong negotiation skills to handle vendor relationships and pricing
- Proficient in budgeting and basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to interview, train, and motivate employees effectively
- Knowledge of retail math concepts for sales analysis
- Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of store management principles
- Exceptional phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries and issues

Pay: $19.99 - $23.00 per hour
