We’re Falu House Scandinavian Deli, a quick-service Scandinavian restaurant / café opening in Greenpoint, Brooklyn this July. We will be operating out of an old zipper factory that we’ve completely repurposed and remodeled with our sister company Teak New York, a Scandinavian furniture and home goods store, who will be sharing the 4,400 square foot space with us.

**Jobb overview**:
As a Barista, you will be taking customer orders, making coffee / tea drinks, delivering food orders to tables, taking part in opening / closing tasks, keeping a clean space and overall helping us create a relaxed and positive atmosphere for our customers and our team.

**Who we're looking for**:
No experience making espresso drinks? No problem. We believe barista and food service skills can be taught and are willing to invest in the right people.

Your personality, reliability and ability to keep your cool are far more important to us. We are looking to build a team of people who are respectful, good communicators, reliable, enjoy interacting with customers and building community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver amazing customer service - we want to be a go-to spot for the customers in our community and become known for having great service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based beverages, matcha and tea drinks. We will be working on a La Marzocco 2-group Linea Classica machine.
- Operate cash registers and handle customer payments. We will be using Toast for our POS.
- Uphold Dept of Health standards of cleanliness and hygiene; Maintain a clean and organized workspace and front of house area.
- Follow food safety procedures and tools provided.
- Depending on your shift, complete opening / mid / closing tasks outlined for you each day.

**Qualifications**:
While experience is greatly valued, we know that these skills can be taught to those who are truly interested in becoming a barista. Sharing our values, work ethic, being reliable and having a good attitude >>>>>skills.
