**Medical Assistant - Job Description**

**Summary**:
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will support providers, patients, and coworkers through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Obtain patient vitals for all patients scheduled for clinical services.
- Interview patients regarding medication allergies and smoking habits & document in EMR.
- Scan/Import medical records for handwritten provider notes (Daily)
- Arrange laboratory services as requested by providers/Nursing Dept. o Collect UAs (Get patient & provider signed consent, label cup with patient information) o Package for delivery (Order pick-up for same-day as collected) o Retrieve results (scan/upload to EMR & Notify Providers)
- Prepare and clean vitals room and medical equipment.
- Assist Nursing Dept. with medication injections.
- Organize and schedule appointments as needed.
- Cover Front Desk duties as needed (including Daily during lunch-hr & Answer phones when available).
- Other duties as assigned by Clinical Lead.

**Education and/or Experience**
- Medical Assistant Certificate and minimum of 6 months experience.
- Medical Assistant with Primary Care experience or Family Practice

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
