The Associate Director, Media’s (AMD) main objective is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Media team in generating consistent and profitable revenue growth for clients and the agency. AMD achieves this, and competitive advantage for our clients, by securing (primarily) audio inventory with outstanding pricing, timing, and performance. The AMD allocates and manages both media and internal resources to ensure revenue targets are met efficiently, client objectives are reached, and outstanding client service is delivered.

**Essential duties**:

- Manage overall control of workflow and assign responsibilities within the group to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity, and to ensure quality control and that requests are met in a timely manner. Helps the team prioritize work accordingly- Develops, reviews, and presents data-driven media plans for clients and prospects based on advertising objectives and in accordance with the planning process-
- This includes using all necessary sources of client, media, and market information and research. Always have an answer to ‘why?’
- Participate in the presentation of media plans and/or in the discussion of media problems with clients and prospects-
- Supervises the building and execution of media plans, ensures quality control, and enforces the operational procedures and principles for the media department-
- Help problem-solve and breakthrough barriers to ensure that bookings and all projects are completed in a timely manner, rates are negotiated for yourself, and direct reports-
- Sees that all media requests within the designated channel and for direct reports are acted upon as promptly and accurately as possible. Helps the team prioritize work accordingly-
- Assist finance department in reconciling variances and assuring proper payments-
- Assist Analytics and Client Services in reconciling variances in media software/documentation and Tableau-
- Maintain deep marketplace & competitive knowledge in a centralized location for all departments in order to promote opportunities & lead clients-
- Communicate market conditions to account group, and other departments as needed so they can best manage clients’ plans & expectations
- In collaboration with the Vice President, Media, hires, promotes or releases department personnel; ensures effective training to fulfill present and future needs. Reviews and recommends salary increases, approves vacations and leaves of absence, in accordance with agency policy
- Trains and supervises buyers and coordinators in dedicated media channels

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ Years experience in traditional and digital audio are a must
- 2+ Years agency experience
- 5+ Years experience planning or buying media
- Experience managing a team
