Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

**Company Overview**
Levitated Metals is an aluminum recycling manufacturing facility in New Caney, a suburb of Houston. Levitated uses a proven density flotation technology to separate aluminum from other metals produced by the scrap metal industry. Its fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture focuses on safety, product quality and environmental responsibility.
Our place in the supply chain is between large scrap metal shredding operations and the global aluminum smelting and castings business. We take a non-ferrous byproduct of steel shredding (Zorba), and use heavy media flotation to create a high-purity aluminum feedstock (Twitch) for the castings industry. Levitated is successful, profitable and at the forefront of R&D to support the aluminum needs of our economy’s future.
Levitated Metals is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mervis Industries, a family-owned and managed metal recycling company with 90 years of history serving the needs of its industrial customers and suppliers.
The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor position will be a hands-on role that is responsible for repairing the flotation equipment that produces quality products with mínimal downtime as well as developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program. This position will also be responsible for purchasing spare parts and tooling as well as hiring and coordinating activities of 3rd party contractors.
The role is well suited for a millwright that has welding and fitting ability and also has gained other experience across all trades. 50 - 75% of the time you’ll have tools in your hands, and the remainder of the time you’ll be ordering spares, coordinating third party contractors and otherwise planning activities for you and other onsite operations personnel to perform related to repairs and maintenance.

Some examples of hands-on activities you will undertake include troubleshooting and replace defective parts or adjust clearances and alignments of moving parts.
