We are all about hiring on attitude and training for skill. Most of our positions require little or no prior industry experience, **_but this is not one of those roles_**.** To be our next Shop Manager on our team, you must have a **_minimum of 3 years’ experience _**managing a shop and/or working in the construction industry. This experience can come in any combination of field, operations and/or management but must total at least 3-years.

**Requirements**:
**A day in the life of a Shop Manager looks something like this**:

- Manage all aspects of the fire suppression shop, including inventory control, procurement, and distribution of materials.
- Oversee the assembly, testing, and maintenance of fire suppression systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise shop staff, including training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to optimize shop efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and engineering, to coordinate projects and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Monitor shop performance metrics and implement improvements as needed to meet or exceed targets.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire suppression systems.

**What You'll Need to Do it**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a field supervisory role in the construction industry
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn technical knowledge of the shop and equipment
- Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50lbs
- Working knowledge of computer skills for documentation and shipping processes
