**Job Summary**
Award-Winning commercial and residential design-construction company is looking for a full-charge experienced construction accountant/bookkeper with experience in job costing to handle company financials and day to day office management operations. We are seeking a dynamic and solid financial analytical skills combined with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as great time management and organization skills. Must have at least an Associates degree in Accounting, be experienced in using Quickbooks with emphasis in job costing and be able to learn UDA Construction Suite Accounting System. This is a Full-time regular position.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
Have experience working for a construction company with emphasis on Construction Job Costing
Manage draw requests, certificate of payments, subcontractor insurance compliance
Utilize Quickbooks for subcontractor and vendor payments
Maintain all 1099 contractor records, including obtaining/maintaining current W-9 forms and proof of insurance annually
Prepare and place order for office supplies and manage all company construction licenses and renewals
Have great interpersonal skills when working with other team members, subcontractors, vendors & others.
Be proficient and be willing to learn our new accounting system - UDA Construction Suite
Be organized and systematic in filing paperwork & maintaining records.
Basic construction accounting requirements for A/P, A/R, G/L, P/R and Job Costing.
Be willing to take on other roles & duties within the office, if and when necessary or assigned
Regular (40 hours per week) with potential to move to Hybrid with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote.
**Qualifications and Skills**
5+years experience in Quickbooks
3+years experience working in the construction industry
Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word
Ability to work independently and with other team members
Great verbal and written communication skills
Required education:
Associate Degree in Accounting
Required language:
Spanish a plus
Required experience:
- Bookkeeping: 5 years
- Office Management: 2 years
