Service Writer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations within our automotive service department.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns
- Document customer issues and service needs accurately
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure proper vehicle diagnosis and repairs
- Provide cost estimates for repairs and services
- Schedule appointments and follow up with customers on the status of their vehicles
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized service area

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in a dealership or auto body repair shop is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical terms related to shocks, struts, brake repair, diesel engine repair, and transmission is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to handle cash transactions with accuracy
- Basic mechanical knowledge to understand service requirements
- Proficiency in computer systems for documentation and scheduling

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience in suspension work, brake repair, or diesel engine repair is a plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Day range:

- Every weekend
- Rotating weekends

Shift:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
