**Duties**:
This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category is at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

**This is a Term position NTE 13 MONTHS. The individual selected for this position may be extended without further competition. Individual may be eligible for noncompetitive conversion to a DCIPS permanent appointment.**

**DUTIES**:
**Represents the DoD/USSOCOM CWMD Coordinating Authority with a variety of cross-functional Intelligence Community (IC), partner federal agency, foreign government and non-governmental organizations.**

**Leads near-peer analysts in the conduct of daily WMD intelligence analysis, research, and collaborative production.**

**Incumbent is responsible to ensure the core classified national information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmatic viewpoint to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements.**

- Masters or Doctorate degree in synthetic organic chemistry/pharmacy/chemical engineering is highly desired
- Previous defense or national level chemical weapons threat analysis experience is highly desirable (i.e. Defense Threat Reduction Agency; Department of Homeland Security; National Security Agency etc.).

**Qualifications**:

- **Specialized Experience**:
Your resume must reflect experience at the next lower qualifying pay band or equivalent grade under the General Schedule (GS/GG) pay system or other pay systems, demonstrating quality in the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies to meet the requirements of this position. Examples of creditable experience: Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in the Intelligence occupation, as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience. Skills/knowledge are used in difficult and complex Intelligence Community (IC) analysis work assignments related to US efforts to counter the use of weapons of mass destruction by hostile nation/near-peer adversaries (i.e. Russia, China). Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

- Knowledge of DoD organizational structures and planning processes to effectively implement policy and develop plans, objectives, tasks, and activities that support Global Campaign Plan and Functional Campaign Plan strategic objectives.
- Knowledge of chemical weapons development, design, manufacturing, fielding; weapons effects; countermeasures; underlying physical principles; methods of detection and analysis.
- Knowledge of intelligence methods and principles; intelligence community norms, practices, standards, guidelines and regulations.
