The YMCA Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and driven fundraising professional for the role of **Director of Capital Campaigns and Special Projects.** This position will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing major capital campaigns and special fundraising initiatives to support the YMCA's mission and programs throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Strategically support fundraising at select YMCA branches as assigned.

**What You'll Do**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for multi-year, multi-million dollar capital campaigns to fund facility improvements, expansions, and new construction projects.

Build and maintain relationships with major donors, corporations, foundations, and community leaders to secure significant financial contributions. ❤️ Oversee and coordinate the efforts of campaign volunteers, staff, and consultants throughout the campaign lifecycle. Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders, including progress reports and campaign updates.

**Special Project Fundraising**
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities for special projects aligned with the YMCA's strategic priorities. Develop compelling case statements, proposals, and materials to engage and solicit support from potential donors. ❤️ Collaborate with program directors and staff to understand project needs and fundraising goals.
-Coordinate and execute special events, initiatives, and campaigns to raise funds for designated projects

**Team Leadership and Management**

Provide strategic direction and oversight to the capital campaign and special projects team.

- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, ensuring effective collaboration and high-performance standards. Establish clear goals, objectives, and benchmarks for campaigns and projects, and monitor progress against targets.
-Ensure compliance with fundraising policies, procedures, and best practices.

**What We're Looking For**:

- ** Bachelor's degree** in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- ** Minimum of 7 years** of progressive experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in leading major capital campaigns and special projects. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
- ✨ Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
-Demonstrated proficiency in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Familiarity with fundraising best practices, trends, and strategies.
-Proficient in using fundraising software and database management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including volunteers, staff, and community partners.
