**Let’s talk about the role**

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statement preparation, general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
- Oversee payments of all vendor accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid on time.
- Oversee processing of accounts receivable, customer credit and collections.
- Work with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure work order transactions are completed timely and accurately.
- Partner with the Operations, Sales, Distribution, Customer Service & Fulfillment teams to enhance communication by developing reporting to provide transparency & understanding of performance.
- Partner with Sales team to develop and enhance analysis of average selling prices and gross profit margin.
- Developing product manufacturing costs for manufactured products and report on variances.
- Monitor cash and banking balances.
- Prepare and organize financial statements for monthly reporting in BU reviews.
- Manage the quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts; calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with BU management.
- Organize information and statements for audits.
- Drive continuous improvement in business processes and costs for the BU
- Define, benchmark and implement operational best practices, complying with all local, state and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.

**Skills for Success**:

- Exceptional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping & accounting best practices, laws, standards and state/national regulations
- Key technical requirements include experience with NetSuite ERP environment and MS Office.
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
- Attention to detail
- Able to work well as a team

**Qualifications**:

- BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field
- 5 to 7 years of progressive Accounting and financial reporting experience, including a leadership role.
- Experience preferred at a small/medium-size manufacturing business and/or a high-volume eCommerce business.
- Key technical requirements include extensive experience with NetSuite, particularly NetSuite, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
