**Job Summary**:
The Greater New York Councils (GNYC) is seeking Program Representatives (Americorps members) to join our team and contribute to our mission. The Program Representative will work collaboratively to enrich our Scoutreach in-school programs, establish strategic community partnerships, and extend the program's reach into underserved communities. The primary focus will be on creating seamless transitions for graduating Scouts from our Scoutreach program to traditional scouting units, while also fortifying existing initiatives and enhancing our volunteer engagement. Program Representatives will also assist other GNYC districts to develop community affiliations with former and new scouting volunteers.

**About ScoutReach Program**:
Founded over 30 years ago within the Greater New York Councils, the ScoutReach
Program is dedicated to serving over 1,300 youth across New York City Public
elementary schools in underserved communities. Our mission is to enrich
in-school programs, offering youth the chance to engage in a wide array of
unique experiences We lead a robust community outreach initiative to empower
youth through educational development, create economic opportunities, and
foster impactful social media engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Objective 1: Settling In**
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing ScoutReach program, and other organization departments
- Analyze best practices from comparable organization programs.
- Identify specific project requirements and document research findings.
- Support and integrate into current programs to gain an understanding of vision and mission.

**Objective 2: Resource Benefit Assessment & Impact Measurement and Reporting**
- Assess resource-based benefits that potential partners can offer.
- Create a framework for evaluating and prioritizing partnerships.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of the community outreach initiative.
- Regularly report on the success and challenges of the program to leadership.

**Objective 3: Community Partnership Expansion & Transition Process for Graduating Scouts**
- Identify potential community partners through research and engagement.
- Develop a targeted outreach strategy to establish new partnerships.
- Establish a seamless process for transitioning graduating scouts to traditional Scout units.
- Collaborate with unit leaders to ensure a supportive environment for transitioning Scouts.

**Objective 4: Community Presence Enhancement & Stakeholder Communication and Engagement**
- Develop a multifaceted plan to increase the visibility of the Scout Reach program.
- Utilize various channels, including social media and local events, for effective communication.
- Develop communication materials to inform stakeholders about program goals and benefits.
- Engage with community leaders, parents, and potential partners and volunteers.

**Objective 5: Project Closeout and Ensuring Sustainability**
- Create a transition document detailing all project aspects.
- Identify strategies for maintaining and expanding partnerships over time.
- Transition partnerships and develop communication to inform partners about new points of contact after the program ends.

**Qualifications**:

- Be 18 years or older (no upper age limit).
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalency
- Hold one of the following citizenship or legal residency statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card status), and persons legally residing within a state.
- Ability to pass background check
- Clear plan for living on Americorps Stipend in New York City
- Availability to lead and/or attend events during evening and weekend hours (frequency varies by position)
- Passion for youth development and community outreach.
- Desire to work in the non-profit sector
- Desire to work with volunteers
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with New York City communities and resources is desirable.
- Bilingual Proficiency Bilingual skills (ideally Spanish/English) can enhance the community outreach.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Google Suite
